In general, each module has an identity which is distinct from other modules and which is maintained throughout the work. Since basic identities are maintained (fixed), repetition becomes a prominent aspect of the work. Change also has import, however. Changes in modules and subdivisions occur because of additions of orchestration, let along some transpositions, of musical material. Thus, the basic design of this work may be simply described as a consolidation of repetition and change.
